Don’t let his white outfit fool you…Storm Shadow is the ninja body guard and assassin for Cobra Commander. While he once changed sides to be with the Joes, his conflicting loyalties and blood-brother relationship with G.I. Joe’s Snake Eyes landed him back on the side of evil. He is a bad guy through and through.

This G.I. Joe costume is based on the original outfit worn by Storm Shadow when first introduced in 1982. Fairly unaltered from the original design, the movie version’s main difference was the material used to make the costume…leather. For general costuming purposes, this G.I. Joe costume can be found made in more affordable fabrics. The costume features a white ninja-style top with attached belt, white pants, a fabric hood and white fingerless gloves:

In 1982, the G.I. Joe storyline was relaunched with a complex background story of “good vs. evil” involving an ongoing struggle between the G.I. Heavily inspired by what were the current day military activities of the U.S., the original Duke G.I. In 1982, the G.I. Joe storyline was relaunched with a complex background story of “good vs. evil” involving an ongoing struggle between the G.I. Joe Team and the evil Cobra organization, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world. An original member of the G.I. Joe team, Snake Eyes has been around from the beginning of the franchise, even though very little has ever been revealed about him.

The latest G.I. Joe costume for Snake Eyes is one of the few costumes that hasn’t changed much since the initial creation of the character. The adult Snake Eyes G.I. Joe costume is an all black jumpsuit with printed muscle details and a fabric hood with attached visor. The look can be completed with black gloves and a sword:

Baroness G.I. Joe Costume From "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" Movie

A G.I. Joe costume that fans of the female gender will want to wear is the Baroness costume. The Baroness is part of the evil Cobra Command, a ruthless terrorist organization created as the nemesis of the G.I. Joe Team when the franchise was rebooted in 1982. Although the character was not part of the initial G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero release in 1982, she did appear in G.I. Joe #1, published by Marvel Comics in June 1982 and was, in fact, the first character to crossover from the comics, into the animated series. She also kept her G.I. Joe costume from the switch from the comics to the animated series.

The Baroness is known for being as ruthless and intelligent as she is beautiful. Working intelligence for Cobra Command, she is the right-hand woman of Cobra Commander and the girl friend of Destro. As with any other Cobra Command operatives, she is determined to rule the world.

Cobra Commander AKA The Doctor G.I. Joe Costume

A G.I. Joe costume that fans didn’t see in G.I. Joe Rise of the Cobra, but can expect in sequels of the movie is the Cobra Commander. As ruler of the evil Cobra organization, a ruthless terrorist organization created as the nemesis of the G.I. Joe Team when the line was relaunched in 1982, Cobra Commander is an iconic figure in the G.I. Joe world.

Egotistical and paranoid, Cobra Commander spends the majority of his time raging against the corrupt American system that he sees as taking advantage of the little guy. With a background story revolving around family, emotional scars are what fuel his thirst for revenge. However, even with Destro and the Baroness at his side, the Joes always manage to foil his plans.

The original G.I. Joe outfit for Cobra Commander was a light blue uniform with his signature Battle Helmet. This G.I. Joe costume would be based on that original outfit worn by Cobra Commander when first introduced in 1982. Costume features a blue jumpsuit with collar and attached belt, black elbow length gloves and matching boot covers. It also includes a blue and white helmet and attached gray mask.

The Doctor G.I. Joe Costume From "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" Movie

In the movie, G.I. Joe Rise of the Cobra, Cobra Commander’s storyline was changed and he was referred to as “The Doctor”. While he still rises to power from emotional scars related to family struggles, The Doctor shows no costume similarities to the original Cobra Commander until the end of the film.
