This GI Joe costume is based on the original outfit worn by Storm Shadow when first introduced in 1982. Fairly unaltered from the original design, the movie version’s main difference was the material used to make the costume…leather. One of the most popular GI Joe costumes is the outfit of the character Duke. As a member of the GI Joe team, Duke is a highly trained, special forces officer that defends humanity’s freedom against terrorist organizations in their attempt to rule the world.
In 1982, the GI Joe storyline was relaunched with a complex background story of “good vs. evil” involving an ongoing struggle between the GI Joe Team and the evil Cobra organization, a ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world. As he was not a member of the original GI Joe team, Duke was introduced to the Joes lineup in 1984. He has been considered the main character ever since.

An original member of the GI Joe team, Snake Eyes has been around from the beginning of the franchise, even though very little has ever been revealed about him.
The latest GI Joe costume for Snake Eyes is one of the few costumes that hasn’t changed much since the initial creation of the character. The adult Snake Eyes GI Joe costume is an all black jumpsuit with printed muscle details and a fabric hood with attached visor. The look can be completed with black gloves:

As ruler of the evil Cobra organization, a ruthless terrorist organization created as the nemesis of the GI Joe Team when the line was relaunched in 1982, Cobra Commander is an iconic figure in the GI Joe world.
Egotistical and paranoid, Cobra Commander spends the majority of his time raging against the corrupt American system that he sees as taking advantage of the little guy. With a background story revolving around family, emotional scars are what fuel his thirst for revenge. However, even with Destro and the Baroness at his side, the Joes always manage to foil his plans.
The original GI Joe outfit for Cobra Commander was a light blue uniform with his signature Battle Helmet. This GI Joe costume would be based on that original outfit worn by Cobra Commander when first introduced in 1982. Costume features a blue jumpsuit with collar and attached belt, black elbow length gloves and matching boot covers. It also includes a blue and white helmet and attached gray mask.

In the movie, GI Joe Rise of the Cobra, Cobra Commander’s storyline was changed and he was referred to as “The Doctor”. While he still rises to power from emotional scars related to family struggles, The Doctor shows no costume similarities to the original Cobra Commander until the end of the film.
